Professional Nanny

What is Nanny

nannies specific duties include the children’s laundry, maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, toys and rooms used by the children and, if required, the preparation of the children’s meals. Nannies are also expected to drop off and collect children from schools or nurseries.

The aim of the course is to familiarise students in aspects of child care in preparation for a career involving the care, development, education and safety of young babies and children from newborns to adolescents.

What’s the difference between a nanny and a babysitter?

While both play a role in supervising and caring for children when parents are away, a nanny is a daily fixture. Nannies will provide housework and are very involved in the children’s lives. Babysitters are short-term caretakers who are typically hired to watch the children for a set period.
